What is the UBE?

Facts everyone needs to know before taking the Uniform Bar Exam (UBE).

Below are frequently asked questions regarding the Uniform Bar Exam and admission to practice. If you have additional questions not listed below, the National Conference of Board Examiners has additional helpful information for prospective bar exam participants.

  • Winter: February 27–28, 2024

    Summer: July 30–31, 2024

  • In Indiana, individuals taking the UBE must score a minimum of 264 to be admitted to the Bar.

  • All individuals planning to take the UBE must complete an application and register for the jurisdiction they will be taking the exam. Learn more about registration here: UBE Registration.
